This is the final update from our Faculty spotlight series. The Faculty of Social Sciences at University of York is delighted to announce the launch of Seven new Masters courses for 2025 entry.

• MA Artificial Intelligence and Technology-Enhanced Learning
• MSc Business Analytics
• MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
• MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• MSc Sustainable Finance
• LLM International Business Law and Practice
• LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2)

With these courses split over a number of different departments and schools within the faculty, they offer opportunities for both advancing your existing knowledge as well as specialising your studies in the areas you care about the most.

With a focus on technology, sustainability and practical experience, the University of York is now offering seven new Masters courses within the Faculty of Social Sciences. These new courses have been launched across our Department of Education, Department of Economics and Related Studies, School for Business and Society and York Law School.

MA Artificial Intelligence and Technology-Enhanced Learning

• Designed for professionals and recent graduates with an interest in educational technology. It’s ideal for educators looking to develop their digital practices as well as technologists looking to develop their understanding of pedagogy.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent in either Education or Computer Science.
• Career Opportunities: Education advisor, Learning designer, Teacher, E-learning manager.
• Course fee: £25,900

MSc Business Analytics

• Become a competent analytics professional using artificial intelligence, statistics and operational research to tackle complex business and societal challenges.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent with experience of computer programming and quantitative methods.
• Career Opportunities: Business analyst, analytics engineer, data scientist, policy analyst.
• Course fee: £31,900

MSc Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management

• Combine practical entrepreneurial and management skills with support from expert faculty and industry connections to make a difference in management, society or your own ventures.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Career Opportunities: Research and Development Management, Business/Innovation consultant, Social venture management.

MSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management

• With a focus on operations, logistics and supply-chain management, this programme equips students with the skills required to navigate the complexities of the global business landscape.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent.
• Career Opportunities: Supply Chain and logistics management, Operations management, sustainability specialist.
• Course fee: £31,080

MSc Sustainable Finance

• This course provides key elements to working in this new exciting area of finance. You'll experience and learn an analytical and robust approach to decision-making with sustainability at its heart.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent with experience in one or more modules containing some statistics/maths/economics/finance/physics/engineering content.
• Career Opportunities: Financial analyst, Investment manager, Energy Analyst, Renewable energy consultant, risk manager.
• Course fee: £33,700

LLM International Business Law and Practice

• Develop the knowledge and skills to advise businesses, and gain unique experience of real cases and projects, assisting clients in our Baroness Hale Legal Clinic.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent in Law or Management.
• Career Opportunities: Lawyer, Business consultancy, Banking and finance, Commercial in-house lawyer.

LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2)

• Develop the legal knowledge and skills required of newly qualified solicitors while gaining wider experience for employment in legal practice. This course has been designed specifically to prepare for both Solicitors Qualifying Examinations - SQE1 and SQE2.
• Applicants should hold, or expect to hold a 2:2 undergraduate degree or equivalent in Law.
• Career Opportunities: Lawyer, Paralegal, Arbitrator, Conveyancing, Advice worker.
