Update on student visa applications |
|
There is still time for your students to apply to study at Swinburne in Semester 1, 2025, and for students already holding offer letters to accept them. After the challenges of the last year, we are optimistic that the Australian Federal Government’s introduction of Ministerial Direction 111 will increase demand for studying in Australia. We also anticipate that students intending to study at Swinburne will see improved visa assessment turnaround. Swinburne’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Pascale Quester, stated the introduction of Ministerial Direction 111 is "a positive step forward and will help restore confidence in Australia's higher education sector. Swinburne deeply values our international students and we look forward to welcoming them with open arms in 2025, and beyond." If you require further information about ensuring your applications are processed quickly, please refer to the April edition of our agent newsletter for tips about submitting complete applications and meeting offer conditions, or ask your recruitment contact for guidance.
