With the recent announcement on international student caps that follows on from ongoing changes since the release of the migration review in December 2023, we acknowledge that it’s a challenging time in the international education sector. Despite the rapidly changing environment in which we all operate, Swinburne is committed to a fair, future-focused and sustainable tertiary sector that offers the best possible experience for all learners. Acknowledging the task facing the Federal Government to ensure sustainable migration, we recognise the importance of setting parameters that safeguard the quality of education and the student experience. We look forward to continuing our work with the Federal Government to ensure that international students, who are vital to our communities, are welcomed in 2025 and beyond. As part of our ongoing commitment to international education, we are pleased to introduce incentives for you and your students, as well as our international scholarships for next year. This follows the new programs we recently launched in fashion and biomedical science, which are already seeing great interest from prospective students. |
