Welcome to our refreshed and updated newsletter - bringing you the latest information on a monthly basis for all things University of Surrey related.

We are extending our scholarship deadlines to support conversion until after the UK's general election, with most extended until 31st July. We have over £6 million in scholarships to support the brightest and best in achieving their dreams and studying at the university.

Over the last few months, as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, our team has undergone a strategic restructuring to better serve our students and partners.

This year, our Vice-Chancellor's Alumni Awards were presented in the Houses of Parliament. Professor Anusha Shah won Alumna of the Year. Anusha is the President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the third woman to hold this position in ICE's over 200-year history.

ADVANCED MECHANICAL ENGINEERING MSc

Our Advanced Mechanical Engineering MSc is a new programme for starting September 2024, that delves into specialised areas within the broader field of mechanical engineering. Practical skills are at the heart of this course, designed to train you to become a professional mechanical engineer who can create safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.

UNDERGRADUATE CLEARING AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Clearing:Please contact us if you would like Surrey staff to support your clearing activity. We will also have a dedicated phone line to support A-Level Clearing. Our clearing grades will be similar to last year, please get in touch if you have a student interesting in applying to us.

Scholarships:Our deadline for the International Excellence Scholarship is the 16th August in order to support students through confirmation and clearing.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS AND KEY ADMISSIONS DATES

Undergraduate typical offer: Alevel ABB-BBB or IB: 32-34 points
Postgraduate typical offer: 2:1 or 2:2 Bachelors (Hons) degree or 60-65%, or equivalent qualification.
English Language: IELTS: 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in each component. PTE 67 overall, with 64 in each component. TOFEL 88 overall. Duolingo - 120 overall and 110 in each component.
