英-南安普顿大学- Urgent: secure outstanding PGT offers; new course launched; universit

Dear valued partner,

Thank you so much for your continued support to prospective UG and PG students joining the University of Southampton for 2025 and beyond.

Before we head off on a short holiday break, we'd like to share a few updates on new courses, scholarships, and university closure dates in December. For any queries, our agent team are always happy to help.

Outstanding PGT offer holders:

Just a kind reminder that some students you currently support have outstanding offers for 2025 entry. Please check the Offers To Be Reviewed section in your Agent Portal and encourage applicants to accept their offers within 30 calendar days of the date specified in their offer letters to secure their places. Unaccepted offers will be withdrawn after this period.

Students will receive further instructions after accepting, including making a £2,000 deposit payment within 8 weeks. Your help in ensuring applicants regularly check their emails and complete deposits promptly is greatly appreciated.

Course updates

We have launched our brand new four-year integrated Master’s course: Physics with Artificial Intelligence (MPhys) - which is now open for applications.

Students will get an introduction to modern physics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and computer science with our physics and AI master's degree.

MSc Public Health update

MSc Public Health has now been updated to MPH Public Health. The previous pathways will no longer be available however students will still have the opportunity to study modules on global health, nutrition, management and health intelligence. Students will also have additional support to succeed in future employment such as through a bespoke seminar series and 1:1 mentoring.

MPH Public Health

The University of Southampton has climbed to 23rd globally and 9th in the UK in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025, up four places from last year.

New Arts and Humanities Scholarship

For eligible arts and humanities students, 40 scholarships of £10,000 off tuition fees are on offer for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The Arts and Humanities Deans Global Talent Scholarship will be awarded each year for undergraduate students and the first year for postgraduate study.

Applications are currently open. To apply students must:

Have an offer to study
Need to pay the overseas tuition fee
Exceed their course entry requirements
Complete and submit the online application form
- UG and PG students can apply from 26 October 2024 until 5pm (UK time) on 21 April 2025.

University closure dates

The University will be closed for the festive break from 24th December to 1st January. If you have any queries please get in touch, as we know this is a key decision-making time ahead of the UCAS deadline on January 29th.
