Further to the email issued on 5 July 2024 regarding the general extension for students, we are writing to amend the exclusions list.

Students who have accepted an offer and have a visa outcome pending for the following coursesareeligible for late arrival up to Sunday 4 August 2024, ready to commence classes by Monday 5 August 2024.

• Master of Geosciences

• Master of Science (Biosciences)

Please note, students who are eligible for this extension have received direct communications from the University.

This communication should not be forwarded or shared on social media as it is relevant to mid-year commencing students with a pending visa application outcome.

Update provided 5 July 2024:

We are aware that visa applications for some of our commencing students are delayed and to facilitate their arrival to campus, the University of Melbourne will be allowing a general extension (*course exclusions apply) for our students to beenrolled and arrive by Sunday 4 August 2024, ready to commence classes by Monday 5 August 2024. Please refer to theGet Startedpages and ensure you have already started to set up your student accounts and complete the administrative enrolment.

Whilst the extension is in place, special consideration will not be granted based on late arrival.

*Excluded courses from this late arrival extension are as follows:

• Bachelor of Biomedicine (Honours) only. Note: Bachelor of Biomedicine allows late arrivals.

• Graduate Diploma in Agricultural Sciences

• Master of Applied Positive Psychology

• Master of Biomedical Science

• Master of Instructional Leadership

• Master of Learning Intervention

• Master of Science (Chemistry)
