New Agent Opportunity: PGT Application Fee Waiver for 2025 Applicants

We are excited to introduce a new initiative for our valued recruitment agents: an application fee waiver for Lancaster University postgraduate taught (PGT) applicants for the 2025 intake.

This initiative responds directly to your feedback, highlighting that application fees have posed a barrier for some talented and qualified students. The waiver, with unlimited usage, aims to support more students from any region or country to consider applying to Lancaster University.

Key details:

Starting Wednesday, 18 December 2024, you will receive an email with further information and a unique code allocated to your agency.

The code’s usage will be reviewed regularly to ensure it supports eligible and qualified applicants effectively.

We encourage you to look out for this communication and take full advantage of this opportunity to support prospective students in their application journeys for 2025 entry.

New 20-Week Pre-Sessional English Programme

We are delighted to announce the launch of a new 20-week Pre-sessional English (PSE) programme, commencing 5 May 2025.

This programme is designed for postgraduate offer holders requiring a 1.5 band uplift in their IELTS score (or equivalent).

Programme highlights:

• Flexible delivery: Choose between on-campus or online learning.
• Structured curriculum: The first 10 weeks focus on language development, while the second 10 weeks enhance academic language and study skills.
• Comprehensive assessment: Students will be evaluated in all four language skills to satisfy the English language requirements of their academic programmes.

Study Group Online Pre-Masters Programmes – Commission Eligibility Update

Effective from the 2025 entry cycle, students progressing to Lancaster University from Study Group Online Pre-Masters Programmes will no longer be eligible for commission payments from Lancaster University.

Please ensure your teams are aware of this update. Should you have any questions or require clarification, contact us at internationalrecruitment@lancaster.ac.uk or your regional Study Group team contact.

Updated Entry Requirements: MSc Artificial Intelligence

The entry requirements for our MSc Artificial Intelligence programme have been updated for the 2025 intake.

New requirements:

A minimum of a 2:ii (Second Class Lower) honours degree (UK or equivalent) in any discipline.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in programming and exposure to quantitative methods such as statistics or mathematical modelling.
