Please feel free to share the information with your students enrolled for this academic year and hopefully they will enjoy life in Keele!Top 10 subject success for Keele in University GuidesTen subject areas at Keele University have been ranked in the top 10 in England in the Guardian and Mail University Guides 2025, including Geography being ranked best in the UK, and Environmental Science second.Forensic Science, Medicine, Physiotherapy, Geography, Midwifery, and General Nursing all performed strongly in the annual Guardian University Guide 2025, placing in the Top 10 in England.The Guardian University Guide ranks courses based on metrics including student satisfaction with teaching, teaching quality, career prospects after graduating, student retention, and student to staff ratio.In the Mail University Guide 2025, Geography at Keele was ranked top in the UK, Environmental Science second, alongside strong top 10 performances for Medicine, and Nursing and Midwifery.The Mail University Guide ranking focuses on what students think about the quality of the teaching they receive, the support offered to them and their wider experience at university, as well as considering widening access metrics.Keele performs strongly in Research England Assessment of Universities' regional impactKeele’s contributions to local regeneration and our work with businesses, public sector organisations and charities have been recognised in an assessment from a UK Government research body. Research England’s fourth Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF4), which has been published this week, scores universities against a range of metrics including how effectively they work with support business innovation; and their contribution to local regeneration, skills and enterprise. The results show that Keele remains among the very best performing institutions in the UK for contribution to local growth and regeneration, as well as being among the highest levels of engagement for research partnerships with non-academic colleagues; working with businesses of all sizes; and work with public and third sector organisations. New hub opened for student-facing services on campusThe Student Services teams are currently moving into the newly refurbished Claus Moser building for the new academic year, providing a single physical hub for all students who use campus to access all support services.Student-facing services are now located on the ground floor and first floor of the Claus Moser building, moving existing services from the Tawney and Newsome buildings, and some from the Library, in line with our capital redevelopment plan.The Student Services Hub provides access to advice, support and guidance on:AccommodationStudent SupportExaminations and assessmentTimetabling and attendanceFinancial mattersDisability accessCounselling and mental healthCareers, Placements and EmployabilityTuition and other fee paymentsReligious and spiritual mattersApplications to studyVisas and right to studyGlobal OpportunitiesIncreased remote access to student advice and guidance will form a priority for additional investment over the next two academic years.Please feel free to share the information with your students, and if your students have any questions, send an email to student.services@keele.ac.uk.PG Tuition Fee Updates for 2025/26 EntryWe are excited to share Keele's new tuition fees for the 2025/26 entry, which are now lower for many courses. We hope these new fees, in combination with our scholarships, will make Keele University an even more attractive destination for your students for the next academic year.We encourage you to share this exciting news with prospective students, and we hope it will assist you in promoting Keele University in your region.Postgraduate scholarship 2025/6International students who enrol in September 2025 or January 2026 and who have achieved the following awards in their undergraduate study will automatically be awarded our Postgraduate Global Scholarship as a tuition fee discount: 1st - £5,0002:1 - £4,000 2:2 - £3,000Please note that this will be assessed as per the University's defined equivalence. For full details, please click hereNew CEO of Keele Student Union announcedKeele SU are delighted to announce that Ryan Beasley has started at Keele University Students' Union as their new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 3rd September.With over 12 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the charity, higher education, and students’ union sectors, Ryan brings a wealth of expertise in governance, organisational development, change management, HR, and membership services. Ryan is passionate about fostering a vibrant and inclusive community.Ryan is a strong advocate of mental health and neurodiversity, firmly believing in “bringing your full self to work” and often talks openly about his adult diagnosis of ADHD.As CEO, Ryan will be focusing on enhancing the SU's services, supporting student-led initiatives, and working closely with the team to ensure Keele SU continues to thrive as a central part of student life on campus. Ryan said: “I am excited to join Keele Students’ Union and look forward to collaborating with the talented team here to support our students in making the most of their university experience. Together, we will work to build an inclusive, dynamic, and supportive environment for all members of the Keele community.”
