Update to English Language Requirements
The Australian Government has recently announced an increase in English language requirements for Student and Temporary Graduate visas, applicable to student applications lodged on or after 23 March 2024.

We are pleased to advise that ALL Griffith College pathway courses are eligible to be packaged under a student visa. This means we can continue to admit students based on an IELTS score of 5.5 with no band below 5.0 (or equivalent) for ALL of our standard programs. We believe this is a testament to the quality of our pathway programs in preparing students for academic success.

Update to Bachelor of Cyber Security (1677)
Diploma of Information Technology students who pathway into the Bachelor of Cyber Security will now receive 80 credit points towards their bachelor's degree. This means they will finish their diploma with Griffith College, and enter into year two of the bachelor at Griffith University.

Trimester 1 2024 orientation marked one of our largest gatherings in recent years. This trimester, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from 52 countries to our Gold Coast and Brisbane campuses, including individuals from Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Burundi, Cambodia, Canada, Cameroon, Chile, China, Colombia, East Timor, Fiji, France, Gaza Strip and West Bank, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Students have been actively engaged in organising various events tailored by students, for students. These include the Headstart Workshop, where current Griffith College students provide invaluable insights into college life, expectations, and their personal tips and tricks. Additionally, activities like Speed Friending and Debate Club have been bustling with energy.

In addition, the College has hosted events such as Dogs and Chill, offering students a chance to relax with therapy dogs while enjoying free ice cream. And our Job-Readiness Week equipped students with the skills for success in their future careers.

At Orientation Day at the Gold Coast campus, the College partnered with a Chinese influencer and hosted a livestream direct to China via social media platforms Wechat and Douyin. This 60-minute stream featured interviews with guests, teachers, and students, as well as a Q&A segment and a lucky draw for the audience. With a total of 1124 viewers, 2961 likes, and 30 comments, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our audience in China and showcase life at Griffith College!

Our first large cohort of Saudi students received a post-orientation briefing with a comforting touch of home. The session covered topics such as seeking assistance, student support, and strategies for academic achievement. Griffith College eagerly anticipates welcoming additional students from Saudi Arabia and across the globe, offering comprehensive classroom facilities, robust student support services, and an enriching student experience.
