UK的Bournemouth University的Clearing、语言考试、CAS截止日期、住宿、接机等信息,请查收以下邮件。Welcome to the July 2024 edition of the Bournemouth University Newsletter with important information on Clearing and deadlines for September 2024 entry. Please share this newsletter with all those involved in counselling prospective BU students across your organisation.  ClearingBU is now open for Clearing! Clearing is the last opportunity for students to find a place at BU for undergraduate study this September. Many of our courses still have places available, view our list of courses here. We have prepared this Clearing video which you can share with your students to help explain Clearing. Alternatively, head to our website to see how Clearing works.      Any student interested in applying for an undergraduate course starting this September, should complete the self-apply application form available on our Clearing webpage or call our International Clearing team on +44 (0)1202 966777 to discuss our entry requirements. Phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 09:00-16:30 (UK time). To facilitate a quick decision please ask students to include details of their completed academic and language qualifications.  To follow up on an existing Clearing application please email iatClearing@bournemouth.ac.uk Free English test for Clearing applicantsClearing applicants have the option of a free English test if: only the English Language condition is left to fulfil (i.e. they have not yet taken an acceptable English Language test or if previous results do not meet the BU requirement), andthey have no Clearing offers with other universities This will be an online test - either KTE (Kaplan Test of English) or ELLT (Oxford International English Language Level Test) - subject to availability. If your students wish to take up this offer, please ask them to raise this during their Clearing call with us. If they applied through self-apply, the Admissions colleague will alert the applicant of this option. CAS deadline for September 2024If your applicant requires a Student visa to study in the UK, they will need a CAS statement which our International Admissions Team will issue up until the 23 August 2024. It is important that they complete all outstanding actions related to their offer on myHub without delay and before this date. This may include the payment of a deposit of £5,000 to secure their place on the course. We can only release a CAS once the deposit payment has been received and all actions have been completed on myHub. Students must quote their 7-digit BU ID number when paying their deposits for funds to be allocated quicker and CAS to be issued without delay. If an application is not at the required stage for CAS issuance by 23 August 2024, we will automatically consider the application for the next available intake. Applicants studying on BU preparatory programmes and applicants whose exam results are released later in August are not affected by the above CAS deadline. However, CAS is released on a case-by-case basis considering the need of a Student visa and visa processing time in the respective home country. Accommodation guaranteeWe offer an accommodation guarantee to all applicants who have booked a room by Thursday 15 August 2024, 18:00 (UK time) for September 2024 entry. Please visit our accommodation page to see further details and options of accommodation available.  BU accommodation is for single occupancy. Students looking for multiple occupancy accommodation will need to search via local letting agents who provide private housing options. More information can be found on the private rental accommodation webpage.   Airport transfersStudents will need to arrange their own transport between the airport and Bournemouth. Please note that all new students are required to be in the UK and on campus for teaching from the start of welcome week, Monday 23 September 2024. Buses and coaches are generally the cheapest means of travel in the UK. National Express runs coach services from Heathrow and Gatwick Airports to Bournemouth Coach and Rail Station up to 10 times a day. Please advise your students to take a look at the transport options on our webpage to help plan their journey. International Q&A Virtual EventPlease encourage both your undergraduate and postgraduate students to attend the next international Q&A virtual event on Wednesday 24 July 2024, 13:00 - 15:00 (UK time). Pre-register using this link. Applicants can ask questions and learn more about student life, admissions, accommodation, arriving in the UK and settling in. Agent Portal v/s Application PortalWe have had a few instances of agents using their agent portal logins on the student application portal to submit new applications. To submit a new student application, you must create a new user account on the application portal for the student you are submitting the application for by clicking on the 'New user' button. Each applicant will have their own specific login details which is their own email address and individual password once their account has been created. They can then use the 'Log in' function and specific login details to follow an existing application or to create a new application for a different course. Please remember that agent portal logins (username starting with AG000XXX and your individual password) should only be used on the agent portal. The agent portal allows you to access different student reports to track the status of your student’s application if they are tagged correctly. Using your agent logins on the applicant portal to submit applications and documents belonging to different students, will result in a data breach so please make sure that you are communicating the correct process to all those involved in the submission of BU applications. Information hub for agentsPlease view our instructions on how to access our information hub which has been designed to support agents and counsellors to advise potential BU students.
