This prioritisation threshold is defined as 80% of the 2025 indicative allocation of new overseas student commencements previously advised to institutions.This new Direction means Griffith University applicants applying offshore for a student visa should now be prioritised as Priority 1 by The Department of Home Affairs processing. To support our applicants and agents, a number of the Griffith International admissions team members will continue to work over the university shut down period (December 23 – January 3) to enable continuity of application assessment and eCOE issuance over this period.Evidence Levels (institutions) and Assessment Levels (countries) continue to be important irrespective of this change in visa processing prioritisation, as these levels determine the evidentiary requirements that must be provided with visa lodgements. View it onlineDear valued partner,Thank you for your continued support and contribution to Griffith’s international student recruitment activity. I am sure it is not easy to keep up with the many changes and announcements coming from Australia in recent months, and that you are increasingly dealing with prospective applicants who have questions about whether or not Australia is the best study destination for them. While the legislation enabling the proposed management enrolment of international students in Australian institutions has not yet passed, we have been given the number of students that will be able to commence their studies at Griffith in 2025. Thanks to a good year in 2023, and the overall number of international students at Griffith being below 25% of the total student enrolment, the number we have been allocated will allow for growth on this year’s enrolment. That means we can continue to focus on diversity, both of student and academic discipline within which they study, both of which are long held commitments at Griffith University. To help offset some of the uncertainty and confusion, we are offering all full degree international coursework students who apply for Trimester 1, 2025, and accept their offer within 14 days 10% credit on their first trimester’s tuition fees, with the exception of professional health quota programs. This is on top of any other Griffith scholarships that they may be eligible for, including our 25% Academic Excellence Scholarship and the prestigious 50% Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship.
